ES1. Chattanooga Brownfield Site Tour

Join us as we kick off the TENSOS with a Chattanooga Brownfield site tour, which is likely to become a legendary event.  Come see firsthand the successful results of collaboration between public and private entities.  The tour is being hosted by the TENSOS Steering Committee Members, TDEC Division of Remediation project managers, and various local experts in Brownfield Redevelopment including environmental attorneys. EPA’s Technical Assistance to Brownfield (TAB) Communities provider International City/County Management Association (ICMA) will also participate. The tour will consist of windshield visits to four Brownfield sites in downtown Chattanooga that have received various types of EPA Brownfield grant funding.  The tour will culminate with an-in depth walking tour of the Novonix Pure Graphite facility, which is developing cutting edge battery technology for electric vehicles. Our transportation is graciously being provided by Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA).
